Yuma and Yuka Arii are the sisters born in Tokyo in the 70s and grew up in a family that loved to eat and create.
The older sister Yuma received a degree in psychology in Tokyo and a diploma in Interior Design in London. The younger sister Yuka has a degree in Formative Design in Tokyo and worked in Commercial Display Design in Florence. After their individual career, the sisters established their own design and styling studio Style Y2 International Ltd. in 2005. Since then, they have been providing design and branding services to a wide range of creators and also providing styling and direct transportation of uniquely aesthetically pleasing items precisely selected by themselves to hospitality businesses, architectural firms and interior design firms around the world. There are nearly 100 Japanese manufacturer companies that have been provided design work and branding work by the sisters, and more than 80 locations worldwide that utilize the products they have styled. (The supplier makers are more than 200. )
The sister's belief is that the power that resides in the sincerity of people's craftsmanship, which they put their hearts and skills into, makes other people extremely happy and that there are no borders or cultural barriers between the creators of cuisine, architecture, tableware and food. With the expectation of many professional creators, they launched this platform, edamame.style, in 2020.
